We’ve recently been made aware of fake accounts on Facebook pretending to be Green Gadgets and attempting to scam customers. We want to make sure you stay safe and can easily identify these fraudulent accounts.

How to Spot a Scam Account

🚨 Fake accounts often:

  • Ask for direct bank transfers or payments outside our official website.
  • Have poor grammar or unusual wording in their messages.
  • Use a different username or slightly altered version of our brand name.
  • Pressure you to act quickly, claiming "limited-time deals" that seem too good to be true.

Green Gadgets will NEVER:

  • Request payments via Facebook, Messenger, or direct bank transfers.
  • Message you from any account other than our official pages.
  • Offer exclusive deals that are not listed on our official website.

💡 What to do if you spot a scam account:

  1. Report the account – Click on the three dots (…) on their profile and select "Report".
  2. Block the account – This prevents them from messaging you again.
  3. Only shop on our official website www.shop.greengadgets.net.au

For any concerns or if you’re unsure about a message you received, feel free to reach out to us via our official channels. Stay safe and shop with confidence!

If you have been misled either by email, online or by telephone, please contact the Australian Cyber Security Centre or Scamwatch, run by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, to report a scam and get help.
